kidnapped

It was a serene afternoon, with a clear blue sky dotted with fluffy white clouds. I was walking home, whistling happily when a car pulled up beside me. “Good afternoon, my boy!” the driver greeted me politely while a young man got down the car. “Harry now!” the driver yelled. The youngster responded as fast as lightning and cupped his hand over my mouth. I inhaled a smell, one that sinks and smelled poisonous. Darkness enveloped me…….
When I regained consciousness, I found myself lying in a gloomy and musty hut. Harry was saying to the driver, “Mr. Goon, can I have it now?” Sure…..” Mr. Goon replied. He retrieved a roll of fifty dollar notes and handed it to harry. He left in a hurry. “Well, I expect you know who I am.” Mr. Goon said to me. I was about to say no when I realized I was Gagged and tied to a chair. I shook my head vigorously. “No, I will tell you. I used to work in your father’s company but was fired when he caught me doing nothing. I had not earned enough to return to America.” I then realized that he was the American born Chinese my father fired a few months ago. He took out his hand phone and dialed a number. “Mr. Lim?” he addressed my father and continued, “I have your son here! I want a ransom of 10 million dollars in exchange for your son. Meet me an hour later at Macritchie Reservoir. You know what would happen if you call the police, I expect?” he hung up and then boomed, “come with me!” he brought me to a car and drove me there. When we reached the place, I saw my dad standing behind a tree. “Dad” I exclaimed and got down the car, throwing myself onto my father, with tears rolling down my cheeks. “Now where is my money?” Mr. Goon said. ‘bang’ a bullet shot by a hidden policeman, hit his chest and he collapsed onto the floor, with blood spurting out of his wound
Mr. Goon was dead! Harry was also caught and sentenced to jail. My father drove me home, consoling me. This was a frightening and unforgettable experience in my life.

Dear Akbar,

Great beginning that captures my attention. I was enthralled all the way to the ending. You can also try something else for the ending. Eg How did this ordeal affect you? What were your thoughts and feelings after this ordeal? Btw, policemen would not shoot criminals unless they pose a threat to theirs or others safety.
