melamine...

“Researchers in China have found out that china’s milk products and other food stuffs made from milk contains melamine” the newscaster said. I was watching the news when I realized that I have bought a carton of milk that morning from the supermarket. I shuffled to my kitchen quickly opened the refrigerator and checked the milk products. To my horror all the products were from china. I was speechless for a few seconds and was paralyzed with fear. I told my maid to remove all dairy products from china.
Then I went to call my friends and relatives to warn them about the incident, everyone was aware except for my sister. I related the whole incident to her when she told me that her three year old kid, Natasha drank a glass of milk the day before and has been complaining that the place where her kidney was was pain since today morning. She said that she would call me back after confirming. “Ring ring” the phone rang, after a few minutes. My sister told me that Natasha has drunk tainted milk from China. She was frightened and was on the brink of tears. She immediately brought her to tan Tock Seng and I went there too. Her daughter was admitted into the emergency room. When my sister saw me, tears welled up in her eyes and no words could express her agony. The shocked robbed him of speech. A few hours later the doctor came out of the room with beads of perspiration dripping down his forehead. “ I am….sorry….to tell that….your…daughter…has developed…kidney stones…the doctor stammered. When my sister heard that she broke out into tears and collapsed at that very moment. I sprinkled some water on her forehead and got up a few minutes later. Her eyes were puffy and red after all the crying. I told that everything will be alright and need not to worry. After consoling her we both went to the doctor’s room to get more information. The doctor said that Natasha’s kidney is damaged and need to be removed she is in a very critical condition and needed to find a donor as soon as possible. ‘I will ….I will’ my sister said sobbing. The doctor soon conducted an operation on Natasha and everything went successfully. After the operation Natasha woke up, my sister gave her hugs and kisses. “She is alive…she is alive!” my sister exclaimed as she rubbed her eye in disbelief. During that time my family members arrived to pay a visit. A few weeks later Natasha was discharged
On the next day “Singaporean girl affected be China’s tainted milk scandal but is safe’ the headlines spread all over the newspapers, I read it as tears rolled down my cheeks.

Dear Akbar,

Great story. I like the way you describe your story using the new phrases you have learnt. Keep it up. You may want to note that anyone who wants to donate kidney has to be tested for suitability first.
